I had a custom desk and shelving made for my office, but unfortunately the desk had very right angles and would hurt your arm when resting on the desk. I purchased a clear version from another company and it looked dirty after a few months (dust, crumbs, etc. show through the clear plastic). My desk has a black top, so these black strips were great. Easy to install. just have to be careful when starting to pull the backing off the tape or you can pull both off. Easy to cut and was even able to make a corner joint connection. Looks great and can tell this will be much better than the previous solution.
