Description
This new casebook has fifteen chapters covering all the major facets of the field. It is designed to provide students with deeper analysis of topics typically mentioned only briefly in abnormal psychology textbooks. Each chapter includes four readings that have been culled from diverse sources to address a wide array of classic and contemporary topics in psychopathology. Each reading has been edited carefully to provide students with succinct coverage of key ideas, and each is introduced by the editors and supplemented with suggested readings.

I needed to get a copy for a class, and otherwise would have passed this little gem bye. It is enjoyable, as it relates each mental illness to a case study, how the patient was helped, and so allows for an undergraduate such as myself to better understand the disorder from a more human perspective. It also discusses to some extent other texts for further reading, and more. A book I'm quite certain will be worth re-reading select studies from again even after the next DSM revision is released.Worth mentioning why only 4 stars, only one case study per disorder (space constraints I imagine), as well as the shortness of the studies (2-3 pages for those I've read).
